Librarty
For decades the National Union Catalogue has been an indispensable tool for scientists and librarians around the world. But nowadays all the information is found easily and for free on the Internet. At the same time, the libraries are full. Therefore they wanted to get rid of the 70 meters of green tomes from the National Union Catalogue. Librarty, a word constructed from the words library and art, was the name of an exhibition in the Badische Landesbibliothek. Artists from the whole region were invited to create unique works of art with the green tomes of the catalogue. These ones were my contribution, books that became objects of art.
