Lifelines
Drawing self-portraits of myself in the age of 20, 30, 40 and 50 years has challenged me to confront myself with issues such as: Who am I? How have I changed? What does it mean to grow old, transience, death? My life is not over yet, that's why I see this work as "work in progress". I chose large paper sizes, 140 x 100 cm. Since this paper format is difficult to handle, I had to work on the floor, on my knees or crawling on the paper.
